Rates Current as of July 1999

All prices are for double spaced pages, approximately 255 words per page, and include return shipping. Prices are doubled for single spaced typed pages, and a 75% surcharge will be applied to all handwritten manuscripts.

Copyedit/Tech Edit:
Light edit with proofread on manuscript. This would check for format and consistancy problems as well as spelling and grammar. Short letter.

Several projects submitted at one time will be treated as one unit. Payment in the form of check or money order for 50% of the total made out to The Sounding Board due upon receipt of manuscript. The second half of payment is due af ter the author's review of the edited manuscript.

We guarantee that your work will be handled only by professional editors, and will not be 'farmed out' as has become the practice of some other editorial services. All work is always confidential and handled by non-judgement al editors. In addition to working for both publishing houses and editorial services, and being an active member of four writer and editor associations, our head editor is a published author and book reviewer. She is aware of what the market is currently looking for, and can provide you with up to date advice.
